In a typical year, Bay State producers of maple syrup run full steam from February into March – and sometimes into April. But 2012 has been far from normal. The sap started its run in January and by early March was virtually tapped out.

Recycling and Trash over the Holidays

For Concord Residents:

Curbside customers will have their trash and recycling picked up on their regularly scheduled day on Christmas and New Year's weeks.

Styrofoam Block can be dropped off at the compost site at 755 Walden Street on Saturday, January 8 and Saturday, January 15 from 9 A.M. to 2:30 P.M.

Concord Earns Grant from the Dept. of Environmental Protection

State Rep. Cory Atkins, D-Concord, has announced that the state Department of Environmental Protection has awarded a $1,250 grant to the town of Concord as part of the Sustainable Materials Recovery Program.
